M&M&M's adventures - New York day 4

We didn't have time to do Katz's deli yesterday so decided that it would be our breakfast place today. We ordered a pastrami sandwich and I was so glad there were 3 of us to share it because it was huge.

Along that stretch of East Houston street are quite a few good eating places. I was sad to see the pizza place I had eaten at nearby had since gone but there was another place called "Russ and daughters" that I have heard has a great smoked salmon bagel. Unfortunately the line was too long and we just couldn't wait as we had lots planned for today.

We did manage to buy a fresh hot blueberry knish from the Yonah Schinmel bakery which was soooo good.

We had decided we were going to walk the Brooklyn bridge today. So we caught a bus from East Houston St to near the Brooklyn bridge but the pedestrian access to the bridge was actually quite difficult to find. We ended up walking around some landmarks such as 1 Police Plaza and the New York City court and attorney general's office... All filming locations for my fav tv show Blue Bloods. So I hadn't intended to take my friends around to Blue Bloods locations like in Hawaii but it just kinda happened.

We eventually found the pedestrian access to the Brooklyn bridge. It was very busy! But it was such a nice day for such a nice walk.

At the other end we tried to find Grimaldi's pizza which is just on the water on the Brooklyn side of the river. But the line was very long and they didn't seem to sell by the slice and you needed to order a whole pizza. So we ended up eating at another pizza place around the corner. All the shops just near the water were full so we got our pizza to go and ended up eating in a park by the water. Was a beautiful view from just under the Brooklyn bridge.

After lunch we decided to go to Coney Island. It was quite an easy train ride from Brooklyn. However, we turned up towards the end of a huge mermaid parade and there were sooo many people around and a lot of streets were blocked off.

We went into he theme park for a bit and I rode one scary ride which was so much fun! Would love to come back on a weekday and but a 4hr pass which was $35 and just go nuts on the rides.

Took a walk down by the beach. Again there were a lot of people there and it was such a nice day to be out so I don't blame them for wanting to be out.

We had applied for a lottery to a free performance of Shakespeare's "The Taming of the Shrew" but none of us were successful in obtaining passes. So we just had a free night.

We returned to Manhattan and went to Grand Central for a bit of a look around.
Doing my Gossip Girl impression xoxo
I was looking for the owner to ask if I could sit in this car. It's so cute!

After dinner at a Japanese restaurant nearby, we returned to our hotel to pack as we had an early start the next day.
